I received a variety of products from Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods & Oils and today I’m going to share a recipe using their Shelled Hemp Seed. (Gotta love supporting a local company!)

Hemp Seeds can be eaten straight from the bag, sprinkled on salads, added to cereal, yogurt, stir fry, baking or even into smoothies! By themselves, they have a slight nutty flavor and unlike most seeds, they are soft and almost chewy. Each 2tbsp serving packs 2000mg of Omega 3 & 11 grams of protein. For those with allergies, they are gluten & nut free.

Change the way you live, one sprinkle at a time!

These tiny hemp seeds pack a powerful punch of protein, omegas and fiber. Not only are hemp seeds easy to incorporate into any meal they, taste delicious too! Did you know Dr. Oz even refers to hemp seed as ‘Brain Food’?

Are you eating clean? Only cooking with minimal ingredients? Or looking for a way to add EFAs, protein & omega-3 & omega-6 into your diet? Then try a bag today, you won’t be disappointed!

This is more of a throw in what you like type of recipe, so I didn’t add exact amounts. Let me know if you try it, or if you have a variation you think I should try!

In my photo, I put all of this on top of a whole wheat tortilla wrap but just to warn you – it is rather messy. I never was good at packing tortilla’s with the right amount so as to be able to actually wrap them up. This is a very filling meal, for me at least.

Splash of Apple Cider Vinegar
Dressing of choice*

*I did attempt to make my own healthier dressing using Hemp Oil and a combination of other things, but I didn’t like it very much and ended up using store bought dressing. Will keep working on finding a dressing recipe I enjoy!
